The Medicine Center is part of Norrland University Hospital and is a large clinic with over 300 employees. We are currently engaged in exciting development work aimed at influencing and improving healthcare within the internal medicine field. The Medicine Center in Umeå has unique expertise in highly specialized care.

At the lung and allergy clinic, we meet patients with conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, COPD, allergies, and lung cancer. Working at the lung clinic gives you the opportunity to combine technology with good and safe care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. At the lung and allergy clinic, we are undergoing a transformation process where we are working to involve more nurses in outpatient care. This means that you will meet and care for internal medicine patients in the clinic while participating in development work that will contribute to the future of healthcare.

Invasive procedures are performed in the clinic, including bronchoscopy, pleural tapping/drainage, and thoracoscopy. You play an important role, and your work contributes to our goal of providing the best possible care for patients.

The main responsibilities as a nurse include outpatient work, telephone advice, care administration, sample collection, spirometry, medication management, and planning and assisting with various invasive treatments. The tasks can be both acute and non-acute in nature.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience in outpatient work and/or have further education as a nurse in asthma/COPD.

We expect you to be structured, meticulous, and persistent in your work. We also believe that you are self-assured and can make independent decisions. It is important that you have good communication skills towards patients and colleagues.
